‘If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there”. (Psalm 139:8)
Wherever you are and whatever you are going through, God is there. It doesn’t matter what your situation is. You may be in a living hell, but if your mind is focused on God and the great things He has done for you, you can have joy and peace in the midst of that situation. There are literally thousands of examples in God’s Word of that very thing. I know from my own experiences that joy and peace can reign in the midst of terrible circumstances.
If you are honest, you can look back over your life and remember times that, in the natural, things seemed to be falling apart; yet when you turned to God and called out to Him, the Lord gave you the peace that passes all understanding – a supernatural peace.
