When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet”. (Proverbs 3:24 )

The Word of God will aid our sleep. Isaiah 26:3 tells us that if we keep our minds stayed on the Lord, God will keep us in perfect peace. When we’re in perfect peace, our sleep will be sweet. Instead of taking a pill when we have problems sleeping, we need to take the Gos-pill! We need to take the Word of God and keep our minds stayed on it all the time. Not just once a week when we’re at church, not only during a daily devotion, but all the time. If we don’t get out of peace and if we keep ourselves focused on God, evaluating everything in the light of what His Word says, we’d sleep better.

You may be having trouble sleeping because you’re worrying and you haven’t cast your care over on the Lord. First Peter 5:7 says to cast “all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” Instead, you’re trying to figure it out, and you’re depending on yourself. I have to have millions each month just to pay the ministry’s bills, and I need even more than that each month to accomplish all the things God has shown me to do. Yet I never stay up at night worrying about it because I’ve cast my care onto the Lord.

I’ve meditated on scriptures that God gave me about Him being my source. Before I ever had the need, He had the supply. I’ve applied that to my life, and because I’m meditating on the Word, I can stay in peace. One time I had figured out that my need was about $4,000 or $5,000 per hour, twenty-four hours a day. But I don’t worry about finances. I’m not saying this to condemn anyone, but I know there are some people who worry about having $2,000 or $3,000 each month. They need to make God their source so they don’t have to worry and can start sleeping at night.
